The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake and Lakeside Chalet, Mumbai – Marriott Executive Apartments has appointe Ritu Rana as the new Director of Sales & Marketing.

Rana brings over 14 years of sales and revenue experience, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and expectations. Her extensive background encompasses roles in sales and marketing across prominent hotel brands, including Marriott International, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., and The Park Hotels. Describing herself as intuitive, insightful, and creative, her leadership is characterised by her ability to drive revenue growth and develop human capital. 

As Director of Sales & Marketing, she will oversee sales and marketing initiatives for a 777-inventory property, including the largest Convention Centre in the area. 

Throughout her career, Rana has consistently achieved revenue growth, developed and executed segment-specific strategies, and conducted comprehensive KPI reviews to ensure alignment with brand objectives. Her expertise in product positioning, budgeting, and forecasting, coupled with her dedication to continuous monitoring and adjustments, has resulted in significant revenue growth and market share expansion. Rana's leadership extends beyond revenue management to encompass team management and development. She is committed to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, fostering a culture of excellence and achievement within her teams.

Some of her notable achievements include substantial growth in ADR and revenue across various segments, successful brand conversion and launch initiatives, and innovative revenue-generating projects during challenging times such as the pandemic. Additionally, she has led various projects, including integration efforts for The Westin Mumbai, pre-opening projects for new hotel openings, and initiatives to enhance the reach and demand for specialty restaurants.
