The property also features natural flora, including a lush mango orchard and integrates elements of local Kumaoni culture into the resort’s design and experiences. “Our commitment to incorporating local culture is highlighted by the welcome treat we provide to all our guests which is crafted by local artisans and the guests can enjoy Kumaoni Aipan art within the premises and enjoy a variety of local foods.”

Sustainability at the core

The resort employs various eco-friendly initiatives, such as an alkaline water bottling plant to eliminate the need for plastic bottles. The commitment to sustainability extends as, “Our plant-based bathroom amenities come in bulk with refillable packaging. To ensure water conservation, all shower heads and sink taps are fitted with aerators. Our bedding is also filled with 100 per cent recycled materials,” Chowdhury highlights.

Further supporting its sustainability efforts, voco Jim Corbett features the IHG Green Engage initiative, which helps the property manage its resources more efficiently by using over 200 green solutions aimed at reducing energy, water and waste.
