IHG hosts Gala dinner to celebrate corporate partnerships in Greater China

The experience incorporated light, shadow, music, dance, and beautiful culinary offerings, creating a feast for all the senses

IHG Hotels & Resorts recently hosted the 'Dream Inspires Travel' gala dinner in Greater China, expressing gratitude to its corporate clients for their ongoing support. This event marked the growth of the brand’s year-long “Travel” series, which highlighted the transformative joys of exploration.

The gala dinner blended art and technology to recreate memorable travel experiences, offering a multi-sensory journey for attendees. Five innovative spaces were designed to showcase IHG’s diverse brand portfolio and sustainability initiatives. The experience incorporated light, shadow, music, dance, and beautiful culinary offerings, creating a feast for all the senses.

Rita Jiang, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer, IHG Greater China, said, “Looking ahead, IHG Hotels & Resorts will continue its commitment to ‘in China, for China’, staying on top of the latest tourism trends, deepening its brand offerings, and launching more hotel products and services that meet the unique needs of the Chinese market and its consumers. For business travel, IHG will improve the experiences of corporate customers with more convenient solutions. We will also uphold the spirit of innovation and sustainability, improve operational efficiency and service quality, and bring personalised accommodation experiences for guests. I believe that through the relentless efforts of the Group, we will continue to be a leader in the transformation of the Chinese tourism market and offer unforgettable memories with every trip.”

Throughout 2024, IHG has leveraged consumer insights to enhance its offerings, driving innovation in the business travel market. By introducing tailored solutions and upgrading services, the group has solidified its leading position in the hospitality industry. Initiatives such as IHG One Rewards and the IHG Business Travel Mini App reflect its commitment to addressing the evolving needs of travellers.

IHG also prioritised sustainability this year, partnering with the Nanjing Yangtze Finless Porpoise Aquatic Life Conservation Association to protect endangered aquatic species and promote environmental awareness. Several IHG brands, including voco Hotels and the Vignette Collection, implemented eco-friendly practices, further aligning the group with responsible tourism goals.

The group’s focus on luxury and lifestyle was highlighted during the China debut of its showcase in May, which featured bespoke travel experiences tailored to individual preferences. As year-end festivities approach, IHG has launched the “Every Gathering Moment Counts” campaign, offering customised packages for celebrations, with convenient booking options on digital platforms.
