OYO has announced discounts of up to 65 per cent for Indian tourists planning to visit Indonesia, effective from October 1, 2024, with bookings available until December 31, 2024. The company operates over 3,000 properties in major cities such as Bali, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta, catering to the rising number of Indian visitors.
India has experienced a 28 per cent growth in tourist arrivals to Indonesia in the first half of the year, and the Indonesian government aims to host one million Indian tourists by December 2024, surpassing current targets. India ranks as the fifth-largest source of international tourists and second for those visiting Bali.
Speaking on the development, Ankit Tandon, Global Chief Business Officer and CEO, Southeast Asia & Middle East (SEAME), OYO said “Indonesia is one of our largest markets outside of India, and we are pleased to support the government in achieving its target for Indian tourist arrivals this year. We are confident that our company serviced hotels in Indonesia will help the tourists have memorable stay."
The increase in Indian tourists is attributed to improved connectivity through direct flights and targeted marketing towards younger travellers and various segments, including wedding parties and business travellers.
