Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd (ROHL) has announced the signing of a new five-star resort in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The resort, located near Pula Mangra village, is accessible from Udaipur city and Maharana Pratap Airport. This marks ROHL's 11th hotel in Rajasthan, to be branded as a 'Regenta Resort.'

The resort will reflect the architectural heritage of Rajasthan’s forts and is set on varied landscapes, offering 51 rooms and suites, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a gym, a swimming pool, and a children’s play area. It will also feature over 6800 sq ft of banquet space, suitable for corporate events and celebrations. The resort is part of ROHL’s broader expansion strategy and is scheduled to welcome guests in early 2025.

Speaking about the signing, Chander K Baljee, Chairman and Managing Director, ROHL said, “Rajasthan has become a prominent wedding destination in recent years, which has contributed to a significant increase in tourism. In 2023, the state of Rajasthan received 179 million domestic and 1.7 million international visitors, according to a report by the Rajasthan Tourism Department. The state has conferred tourism industry status, improved rural tourism, and revised heritage policies in order to capitalise on this potential. The signing of the new property is a significant milestone and a testament to our consistent presence in this vibrant region and aligns with our strategy of being present in all significant markets of this promising state.”

Rajasthan plays a significant role in the tourism sector, contributing 14 per cent to the state's GDP, with Udaipur being a key attraction. The new resort's proximity to major tourist sites, including Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary and Chittorgarh Fort, positions it to draw visitors interested in the region's rich history and architecture.
