Cygnett Hotels and Resorts has appointed Bernard Houppertz as the Vice President Development & Operations South Asia & Africa. Bernard will be leveraging his expertise to help Cygnett in formulating new developments to extend Cygnett groups reach in South Asian and African markets. He will also be responsible for streamlining operations in the territories mentioned above.
Bernard Houppertz sets an excellent track record in his career growth. He is a recipient of 4 honorary presidential awards and numerous awards for professional achievements. He has spearheaded operations and pre-openings for world-leading Hotel Groups, along with private brands and properties ranking from 5 to 3 stars, managing facilities with 450+ rooms.

Prior to joining Cygnett, Bernard Houppertz worked with International Hospitality organizations like Accor Group, Best Western, Parkside and many more, Houppertz has accumulated strategic and tactical thinking with knowledge of implementing best practice with a strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability to surpass customer expectations. He has demonstrated accomplishments in attaining high occupancy rates, generating progressively growing revenue and profitability targets, repositioning and re-branding existing properties to create successful global chains and leveraging HR capital to build high-performing teams that render ‘Par excellence’ guest service.
