Mayfair Hotels & Resorts appoints Dinesh Kurup as Vice President – Sales & Marketing

Mayfair Hotels & Resorts welcomes Dinesh Kurup as Vice President – Sales & Marketing. Possessing over 24 years of multi-brand experience and an illustrious track record, Kurup is an astute hospitality professional, aiming to leverage his experience in this new role.  

A seasoned hotelier, Kurup has been hailed for his sound understanding of ‘Hospitality Marketing’ and his prowess at leadership skills have always been appreciated by his superiors as well as his teams alike. His long-standing association with leading hotel chains from around the country has seen him deliver and achieve business objectives, thus helping establish the respective hotels’ dominance in the industry. 

On joining as Vice President – Sales & Marketing for the Mayfair Hotels & Resorts he said, “I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful team. I feel honoured, and will do my best to add value to Brand Mayfair”.

In his new role, his primary objective will be to enhance the overall commercial performance of the hotels and resorts by way of growing market-share and consolidating the position of the properties as the market leaders. Backed by his formidable reputation of turning projects around, by relying on his agile thought process and proactive strategic planning, this stint too, is slated to be yet another feather in his cap.  

Kurup most recently served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Country Inn Hotels & Resorts. He began his sales & marketing journey with The Leela Hotels & Resorts, where he held multiple positions in the Sales & Marketing department. He subsequently gained experience, while delivering outstanding performances with Shangri- La Hotels and Le Meridien.   

Kurup is alumnus of IHM Bhubaneswar. He mentioned that his focus will be to ensure that the newly launched properties do achieve their true potential, and eventually help expand the brand’s portfolio.
