Chor Bizarre hosts Odia cuisine pop-up event

Featuring a menu curated by actor-filmmaker Nandita Das and culinary collaborator Mona Lisa Bal, the pop-up event will be held from November 29 to December 1

Chor Bizarre, a restaurant on Asaf Ali Road, recently hosted an event celebrating Odia cuisine, featuring a menu curated by actor-filmmaker Nandita Das and culinary collaborator Mona Lisa Bal. This pop-up, held from November 29 to December 1, offers New Delhi a chance to explore the rich culinary heritage of Odisha.

The restaurant, originally opened in 1990 as India's first theme restaurant, is renowned for its 'thieves market' ambience and regional Indian dishes. The event attracted notable figures like Sharmila Tagore, Gul Panag, and Raghu Rai, who experienced the specially crafted dishes that reflected Odisha's traditional flavours. This initiative contributes to Chor Bizarre's ongoing mission to highlight diverse regional Indian cuisines.
