Dusit International, a leading hotel and property development company in Thailand, has announced its sponsorship of The Maverick Academy, a new culinary competition series hosted by Chef Alvin Leung on Netflix. The show features eight chefs from Southeast Asia, including Dusit’s Chef Woottisak ‘Woody’ Simhong from Dusit Thani College, competing for the opportunity to become Chef Alvin's apprentice and business partner.
The series combines cooking challenges with business skills and includes a panel of esteemed culinary mentors. Contestants filmed in Thailand, staying at ASAI Bangkok Chinatown, and showcased their skills at Dusit Thani College and The Food School. Thailand is prominently represented in the competition, highlighting the country's culinary talent and heritage.
