Chef Birjesh Kumar joins Le Meridien Gurgaon, Delhi NCR as hotel’s Executive Chef

Le Meridien Gurgaon, Delhi NCR has appointed Chef Birjesh Kumar as the new Executive Chef. With over 23 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Birjesh Kumar brings a wealth of expertise and a diverse culinary background to his new role. 

Chef Birjesh Kumar is widely recognised for his proficiency in a wide range of cuisines including French, Italian, Spanish, Thai, Mediterranean, Modern European and Indian. His extensive knowledge and skills have been honed through his previous positions in renowned establishments. Notably, he served as the Executive Sous-Chef at the esteemed Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Delhi, where he managed all food activities across banquet venues, restaurant outlets, and pastry and confectionery kitchens. Prior to that, he held the position of Chef de Cuisine at the same hotel, where he coordinated the entire banquet operation and led a team of chefs.

During his tenure at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Chef Birjesh Kumar demonstrated exceptional leadership and culinary creativity. He was responsible for planning menus, managing food costs, ensuring hygiene compliance, and achieving high guest satisfaction through personalised service. His dedication to delivering an unforgettable dining experience led to numerous successful events, including themed parties, embassy events, and exhibitions.

Before his tenure at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Chef Birjesh Kumar showcased his culinary talent at renowned establishments such as One & Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai, UAE, The Royal Golf Club in Bahrain, The imperial Hotel and Taj Mahal Hotel, Le Meridien and erstwhile Intercontinental hotel in New Delhi. These experiences further enhanced his repertoire and solidified his reputation as a skilled and resourceful chef.
