Hyderabad Marriott Appoints Rahul Korgaokar as Director of Operations

By BW Hotelier RAHUL KORGAOKAR has been appointed as the Director of Operations at Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad. He brings with him over 10 years of experience in the food and beverage department at full service and luxury hotels. Korgaokar started his career in 2003 at The Oberoi Mumbai as Restaurant Manager and his dedication and excellence was soon recognised. In his formative years in the industry, he has been instrumental in successfully launching and managing restaurants. He was also part of the pre-opening team of the first M-venpick Hotels & Resorts in India, located in Bangalore as Assistant F&B Manager. He joined the Marriott in 2013 as Director of Food & Beverage at the Goa Marriott Resort & Spa. After a successful two-and-a-half year stint, Korgaokar now joins Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre and Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad as Director of Operations. In his current role he will be responsible for operational excellence as well as revenue generation and profit maximization of both hotels. Rahul holds a certificate from WSET and is also a confirmed wine lover. In addition, apart from English, Hindi and his mother tongue Marathi, Rahul can also converse in French and German, and elementary Italian and Bengali.

Sunny Ghaiee New DoSM of Hyderabad Marriott

By BW Hotelier SUNNY GHAIEE has been appointed as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre & Courtyard by Marriott Hyderabad. He brings with him over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry handling sales and marketing for both full and focused service hotel and convention centre. He has worked with several Indian and International hotel companies in various capacities across the country. Ghaiee began his career in hospitality in 2010 as the Director of Sales of the Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and thereafter moved on to JW Marriott Chandigarh as the Director of Sales & Marketing. In his current role, he will be responsible for creating a team process that is focused on the daily impact of guest service, generating revenue and managing the costs to create the highest return for the ownership. As the property sales leader, he will be instrumental in developing a strong sales and marketing strategy. Sunny is a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Studies from Indira Gandhi Open University with a diploma in Hotel Management from International Institute of Advance Studies, Calcutta and possess a certification of ’Executive Management’ in computers from LMIIT, Calcutta. He enjoys reading, music, and is a complete foodie. His leisure time activity also includes sports and he is a fitness enthusiast.

After his stint with the Leela Palace Bangalore, Guhaneshwaran moved to the Oakwood Premier Bangalore. He was also awarded the best manager in cost controlling there. After Oakwood Guhaneshwaran moved to The Fortune JP Palace Mysore. He has been associated with DoubleTree by Hilton Pune-Chinchwad since May 2015. Goa Marriott Appoints New Director of Food & Beverage

He then joined Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai, as Assistant Events Manager and later moved to JW Marriott Pune as Events Manager with the pre-opening team. He also worked as Director of Events at Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre. His most recent assignment was that of Director of Events at JW Marriott, Sahar. While at JW Marriott Pune, Singh also worked as a Front Desk Manager for a period of one year. Singh belongs to a family of hospitality professionals and is passionate about being in the industry.
