JCI set to launch expanded safari season

This season, JCI plans to introduce various initiatives aimed at enhancing guest experiences, particularly for children, as well as cultural immersion opportunities and upgraded accommodations

Jungle Camps India Limited (JCI) is preparing for the 2024-25 safari season, which begins on October 1, 2024. The company, based in Delhi, is known for its curated wildlife hospitality experiences across several award-winning properties located in prominent tiger reserves and lush forests of Central India, including Pench and Kanha Tiger Reserves in Madhya Pradesh and Tadoba Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra. This season, JCI plans to introduce various initiatives aimed at enhancing guest experiences, particularly for children, as well as cultural immersion opportunities and upgraded accommodations.

With a notable increase in interest from travellers, JCI anticipates a significant boost in revenue during the upcoming season. The company aims for fivefold revenue growth by the fiscal year 2028, driven by rising global demand for premium wildlife and ecological vacations. To support its expansion, JCI filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with BSE SME in July 2024, with plans to use the proceeds for developing a new project at Sanjay Dubri National Park, renovating its existing resort at Pench National Park, and establishing a four-star hotel in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Commenting on the upcoming season, Gajendra Singh Rathore, Chairman, Jungle Camps India Limited, said, “We are committed to promoting eco-tourism and offering our guests an authentic yet luxurious wildlife experience. From specialised safari experiences for children to cultural immersion initiatives with local tribes, new sustainable tourism initiatives and upgraded accommodations, we have lined up a host of new initiatives to draw discerning travellers from across India.”

New offerings for the season include a specialised children's safari programme that encourages a love for nature through interactive activities and educational workshops. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to engage in cultural immersion projects in nearby tribal villages, enhancing their connection to local communities and the environment. JCI is also implementing sustainable practices, such as reforestation efforts and zero-waste initiatives, to further reduce its ecological footprint.

The company has upgraded its accommodations to enhance comfort and luxury, ensuring guests enjoy stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. A new team of naturalists has also been introduced to provide insightful commentary on the wildlife and ecosystems encountered during safaris. With expectations of high tiger sightings this season, JCI's properties promise excellent opportunities for guests to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitats.
