The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), as part of the Ministry of Tourism’s Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT) programme, has successfully carried out online placement drives in six districts of Manipur. Over 160 students secured jobs with prominent organisations, including PVR Inox, Barbeque Nation, Quess Corporation, and Compass Group.
The placement initiatives, conducted in collaboration with Primero Skills, aimed to equip students with relevant skills and connect them to suitable roles. Notably, participants from relief camps faced significant challenges yet demonstrated remarkable resilience, underscoring the transformative power of skill development in promoting self-reliance.
Rajan Bahadur, CEO of THSC, commended the participants, and stated, "We are immensely proud of the students from Manipur who have demonstrated remarkable perseverance and determination in their journey toward achieving meaningful careers. Their success is a testament to the transformative power of skill training in shaping the future of individuals and communities alike. At THSC, we are deeply committed to equipping youth with the tools they need to thrive in dynamic industries like tourism and hospitality."
"These placements not only showcase the capabilities and readiness of our students but also reflect our dedication to addressing industry workforce demands with skilled and competent talent. Through our focussed efforts, we aim to inspire confidence, foster economic growth, and create a sustainable impact on the lives of many young individuals, empowering them to build brighter futures for themselves and their families," Bahadur further added.
These successful placement drives emphasise HSRT’s role in enhancing employability and confidence among young professionals, showcasing the potential for initiatives like HSRT to drive economic growth in regions such as Manipur. THSC remains committed to empowering individuals through skill development and addressing industry needs in India's tourism and hospitality sectors.
