ANR FOODWORKS LLP company has launched its first patisserie and confectionery 'Honey and Dough' in Defence Colony, New Delhi. The family owned patisserie has a Global bakery concept with savories inspired from around the World. From ambrosial desserts to  appetizing savories, the neighborhood bakery cafe serves it all.

Honey and Dough is a complete one stop shop for all bakery and confectionery items. The outlet has a cafe model and an entire range of products from chocolates, breads and cookies to desserts. The shop also provides an option for gifting products.

BW Hotelier spoke to Aavika Chhawchharia, owner of Honey and Dough at the launch,"We are not from this line of business we are into import and export, we started it because I had a inclination towards baking and this was out of passion. Our parent company is ANR international and ANR food work is an expansion to our current line of business," she added.

Some of the pastries served at Honey and Dough include Opera, Amour, Devil’s Delight and Praline Crunchare. The chocolate based desserts are their specialty which is made with authentic recipes from different cultures. The outlet also has a corner called 'Cafe me' which is a treat for the coffee lovers.

According to Chhawchharia, there are multiple USPs of the outlet and its products. "We have four to five types of pastries which currently nobody makes in the market. We have a mix of savories inspired by different places around the globe. The price of our pastries range from Rs 95 to 300. We are targeting everyone in the market."

Entreprenuer and Chef Sahil Mehta and Raminder Pal Singh Bakshi are the consultant at Honey and Dough. They run their own Business consulting company called Baking Lab.

Speaking about the vision of Baking Lab, Mehta said, "there is a big gap in the pastry and bakery field between France and India. But with the coming of new talent, we are rapidly catching up. We have set up Baking lab to build as many patisseries and bloungeries as we can," he said.

Continuing to this Bakshi said, "before we take any project we check at what the market is lacking, for example the market requires mass product or it requires very niche product or a mix of both. What we have read in different data is that by 2020 the patisserie industry will be 15,000 crore in India so everybody is entering to this market."

Honey and Dough has started with their first outlet from Defence Colony and the second one is coming up in Dwarka next month.
