Madhya Pradesh to host inaugural Pachmarhi rock climbing challenge

The event is expected to attract over 30 participants from cities including Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is set to host the first-ever Pachmarhi Rock Climbing Challenge from 10-19 January 2025, aiming to boost adventure tourism in the state. The event, organised in collaboration with Mostech Escapes, will take place at the Jatashankar Hill in Pachmarhi, located in the Satpura mountains.

This pioneering initiative will challenge participants physical and mental endurance while providing an exhilarating experience amidst the natural beauty of the Satpura range. The event is expected to attract over 30 participants from cities including Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai, with organisers anticipating more climbing enthusiasts from across the country.

The Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is supporting this endeavour, underscoring its credibility and appeal to adventure enthusiasts. A key highlight of the event is a competition offering a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for the winner, adding a competitive edge to the thrilling experience. By hosting this event, the board aims to showcase the Satpura mountains' unique terrain while promoting Pachmarhi as an adventure tourism hotspot.
