Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, is intensifying its focus on the Indian market, aiming to enhance its operations and service offerings. With over 50 years of service in India, the airline plans to improve connectivity to meet the changing needs of Indian travellers, aligning with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 initiative.
Since its first flight to Mumbai in 1965, Saudia has established itself as a reliable airline for Indian passengers, operating 54 weekly flights to six major cities, including Delhi and Bangalore. The airline aims to attract 7.5 million Indian visitors annually by 2030, recognising India's potential as a key source of inbound tourism.
To improve the travel experience, Saudia is increasing flight frequencies and enhancing services for various travel purposes, including tourism and religious pilgrimages like Hajj and Umrah. The airline has also launched an AI-powered platform, Travel Companion, to assist travellers with bookings and personalised solutions, and revamped its AlFursan loyalty programme for better user experience.
Saudia's growth strategy is closely aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a global tourism hub. The airline plans to introduce 105 new aircraft to enhance capacity and connectivity, supporting the goal of welcoming 330 million visitors by 2030. As Saudia strengthens its presence in India, it remains committed to expanding services and reinforcing the connection between the two nations.
