OYO records 250 per cent growth in a year

The initiative, which exceeded its target by adding 700 properties against the planned 200, has rapidly gained popularity among customers

OYO has achieved remarkable success with its company-serviced hotels segment, recording an impressive 250 per cent growth within a year of its launch in September 2023. The initiative, which exceeded its target by adding 700 properties against the planned 200, has rapidly gained popularity among customers and hotel owners.

Spread across 124 cities in India, the company-serviced hotels have seen significant traction, especially in the southern region, which boasts over 200 properties. Key cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Chennai are among the top contributors.

These properties are also expanding across major pilgrim destinations like Varanasi, Haridwar, and Puri, as well as leisure hotspots like Goa, Jaipur, Kochi, and Mysore, underscoring OYO’s effort to cater to diverse travel needs.

Speaking on the development, Varun Jain, COO, OYO India said “This initiative has driven substantial improvements in key metrics, including occupancy rates and customer experience, leading to a rise in repeat bookings. Additionally, positive customer feedback has surged, with 95 per cent of guest reviews expressing satisfaction with their stay at these properties. They frequently mention seamless booking experience, modern amenities, and attentive staff as key differentiators”.

OYO has implemented a great data-driven approach to identify high-growth areas and streamline operations. By leveraging dedicated business managers and an extensive channel partner network, the company has efficiently scaled its footprint. Key strategies include better inventory management, faster resolution of queries, and reduced inefficiencies.
