THE JOURNEY began when Anuj Rakyan MD and Founder at Raw Pressery, was looking for a juice option and could not find one without any additives, concentrate, sugar, colour or preservatives. All juices on the shelf were pasteurized impacting the nutritive value. Looking at this scenario he thought to himself why not make his own healthy, fresh juices in his mother's kitchen – which became the inception point of Raw Pressery.
In an exclusive interview with BW Hotelier, Rakyan gave some interesting facts as to how Raw Pressery satisfies the consumer needs. He points out that these days consumers have become very conscious about the product choices and in order to satisfy the consumer wants, Raw Pressery juices present some qualities such as that the product is never heated, not from concentrate, it contains no added sugar, no preservative and are clean label which means the juices are a product of real food and transparency through authenticity.
Raw Pressery started with eight super healthy cold-pressed juices and now they have over 26 different juices including the country’s first-ever bottled sugarcane juice. Very soon they will be launching new flavours and other innovative products that help people lead a fulfilling healthy lifestyle.
In the offline space, they are available in over 16 cities (mainly Bangalore, Hyderabad, NCR, Mum, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Mangalore, Chennai) and more than 2000 points of sale. They are also present with all major online e-comm players such as Big Basket, Milk Basket, Flipkart, Grofers, Amazon. Further on the product is also available on major cloud kitchens and can be purchased as food combos via Swiggy, Zomato etc.
Other than being a super healthy brand, Raw Pressery has also been a challenger brand. Rakyan has used challenges as opportunities and overcome them with a creative solution. Raw Cycle which is an initiative by Raw Pressery to collect empty bottles and recycle them into t -shirts.
So instead of being plastic shy, they choose to take responsibility and make something better from waste plastic giving it a whole new meaning and life. The product has gone from being a cult to culture, Innovation is their biggest differentiator to ensure that they remain relevant to their target audience. The key factor for Rakyan is to innovate and provide customers convenience without compromise.
