La Tour d’Argent brings French culinary legacy to Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi in October

French fine dining restaurant at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, from October 23 to 27, 2024

Parisian restaurant, La Tour d’Argent is all set to host an eight-course dinner and a five-course lunch menu during this five-day residency. Executive Chef Yannick Franques, recipient of the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, will lead the Michelin-starred team in presenting a blend of classic and contemporary French cuisine. The event will also feature highlights such as the signature “Caneton Frédéric Delair,” a dish that pays homage to Charlie Chaplin, who honeymooned at the Metropole Hanoi in 1936.

La Tour d’Argent’s presence at Le Beaulieu is part of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi’s efforts to elevate its fine dining offerings. “We are delighted to welcome La Tour d’Argent, a legend of French gastronomy, to our hotel for this singular dining experience, as we continue to elevate Metropole Hanoi’s fine dining to new heights. It is also a truly special way for Sofitel to mark our 60-year Diamond Jubilee this year,” said George Koumendakos, General Manager of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.

Le Beaulieu, one of Vietnam’s oldest restaurants, has been serving modern French cuisine since 1901 and was recently featured in the Michelin Guide 2024. The restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine, Charles Degrendele, who was trained at La Tour d’Argent, will collaborate closely with the Parisian team to deliver the dining.

“With our rich history and that of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, it’s easy to bring this unique experience to life, nourished by this encounter and supported by the expertise of our teams. The beauty and refinement of the setting particularly appealed to us and echoed that of our Parisian home. It’s a promise for customers of a unique and grandiose experience,” said André Terrail, owner of La Tour d’Argent.
