Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel has announced the appointment of Chef Rohit Mattummal as Chef De Cuisine at Nazaara. Chef Rohit brings over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, specialising in Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisines. He is known for his ability to create exceptional dishes that balance traditional flavours with modern twists.
Chef Rohit's professional journey includes significant roles at renowned establishments. Most recently, he served as Chef de Cuisine at Kempinski, Marsa Malaz – The Pearl in Doha, Qatar, where he oversaw various kitchen departments, managed outdoor catering for VIP events, and maintained the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Prior to this, he was Chef de Cuisine at Kempinski, Barbaros Bay in Bodrum, Turkey, where he led a team in preparing and presenting Asian-inspired dishes, developed seasonal menus, and implemented cost-effective strategies.
Known for his proficiency in South East Asian, Indian, and International cuisine, Chef Rohit excels in sourcing premium ingredients, orchestrating successful pre-opening strategies, conducting comprehensive staff training, and skillfully managing budgets. Chef Rohit aims to contribute his culinary expertise and leadership abilities to deliver outstanding dining experiences at Nazaara.
