Taj Coromandel’s restaurant, Golden Dragon, is celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with a special menu that portrays the traditions and flavours of this cherished occasion. From September 17-27, 2024, guests can experience a culinary journey crafted by Master Chef Lian, inspired by his nostalgic memories of the Autumn Moon Festival.
The festival, a symbol of joy and prosperity, is marked by moon-gazing and the sharing of mooncakes. To honour this tradition, Golden Dragon presents a hand-crafted menu featuring Sichuan and Cantonese specialties. Highlights include Shrimp and Chicken Combination Shaomai, Northern Lamb Dumplings seasoned with cumin and coriander, and Mushroom Spinach and Corn Dim Sum. For those who prefer vegetarian options, the Steamed Mantou Buns with chilli garlic dip offer a delectable choice.
The menu also includes wok-prepared dishes such as Braised Duck with bamboo shoots, steamed Scallops with garlic and sesame oil, and Ciba Fish Hubei, pan-seared with garlic and chilli. Meat enthusiasts can enjoy Stir-Fried Lamb with smoked chilies and Boiled Pork Belly with garlic and soy. Vegetarian delights include Lotus Stem Family Style and Yang Chow Tofu.
Complementing the feast, Golden Dragon offers a variety of beverages, from mocktails like Passion Fruit Delight and MihouTao Mojito to cocktails such as the Fortune Ball Martini and LiLuólè Yè. Desserts feature traditional MoonCakes, Star Anise Infused Chocolate Pudding, and Caramelized Walnut and Orange Ice Cream, providing a perfect ending to the festive meal.
