ITDC observes 'Vigilance Awareness Week' to promote integrity

This initiative underscored the importance of integrity in society and included a range of activities across ITDC’s hotel units and divisions to combat corruption from October 28 to November 3, focussing on the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity”

On November 6, 2024, the India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC) held its ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from October 28 to November 3, focussing on the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity.” This initiative underscored the importance of integrity in society and included a range of activities across ITDC’s hotel units and divisions to combat corruption.

Key events featured an integrity pledge led by ITDC's Director Finance and Chief Vigilance Officer at the corporate headquarters. ITDC also organised a session on 'Cyber Hygiene & Security' at the Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management, engaging students and employees in discussions on online safety.

Furthermore, the organisation conducted a POSH session to reinforce compliance with its regulations, along with a training session on "Preventive Vigilance" aimed at promoting ethical practices among employees. A walkathon and a street play titled "Say No to Corruption" were notable highlights, demonstrating active participation from students and staff.

Shri Lokesh Kumar Aggarwal, Director Finance and CFO at ITDC, said, “Promoting a culture of integrity is vital for both our organisation and the nation. By raising awareness about corruption and its impact, we empower people to contribute to a more transparent society.”
