Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has formed a partnership with the Anita Mendiratta Foundation (AMF) to launch the Empower-Her Andhra Pradesh Sewing Project. This initiative will support women in over 18 villages within the state by providing vocational sewing training, enabling women to achieve financial independence and enhance their livelihoods.
The project reflects IHCL’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and the importance of women’s empowerment in fostering stronger communities. Its goal is to create sustainable income opportunities through skill development in rural areas where job options are scarce.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources, IHCL said, “The Empower-Her Andhra Pradesh Sewing Project embodies IHCL’s principles of Paathya of driving meaningful CSR impact by fostering long-term socio-economic growth. Through this initiative, more than 50 women from Sattenapalle, Tiruvuru, and Hanuman Junction will receive training, facilitating long-term economic and social growth. The project will be implemented in collaboration with local partners, Adventure Aid and Mercy And Grace Charitable Trust.
