The Lotus Oriental, the Pan-Asian restaurant at The Leela Bhartiya City, has introduced a new Sichuan-themed menu titled ‘A Symphony of Flavors.’ The menu, which is available every Friday through Sunday, highlights the bold and spicy flavours that characterise Sichuan cuisine.
Known for its fiery and umami-rich dishes, Sichuan cuisine originates from China’s southwestern Sichuan province. It is renowned for its use of Málà wei—a combination of Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilies—offering a different taste that is both numbing and spicy. The restaurant brings this culinary tradition to Bangalore, offering an exciting five-course menu crafted to cater to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences.
For vegetarians, the menu includes dishes like Wood Ear Mushroom Soup, Pan-Fried Mock Meat Bao, and the classic Mapo Tofu. Non-vegetarians can indulge in selections like Xi-Hu Prawn Soup, Crispy Fried Fish with Sichuan Pepper, and the fiery Devil XO Chicken.
