Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata has appointed Saurav Basak as the new Director of Sales. Bhasak brings over 13 years of experience in managing key accounts, room sales, catering, and MICE events across India and South Asia. His extensive background in the hospitality industry and proven success make him a valuable addition to the team. Prior to joining Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata, Saurav was associated with The Fern Hotels & Resorts and has also worked across leading hotel brands such as the Taj Group of hotels.
He started his career post obtaining a Bachelor's in Hotel Management from Nips School of Hotel Management by working with leading hospitality brands Hadoop Spark Training and Certification. As an expert in the field of tourism, he had a longer career where he won Hyatt Hotels and Resort as Associate Account Director (East India) by planning Cluster Sales operation for Eastern. During his tenure at Marriott Hotels India Pvt Limited, he contributed to the significant increase in MICE and sports group categories.
With this new role, Basak will be accountable for the total sales budget and expenses as well as ensuring that financial targets are met. He will also have the responsibility for maintaining sales volume and pricing strategies, as well as leadership of an effective high-performing sales team.
