SAURABH BHARARA has joined The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore as Director of Sales and Marketing. A seasoned hospitality professional, Saurabh’s career has spanned eighteen years of continuously enhanced hotel experience in reputed brands across the globe.
In his previous role, he was overseeing all aspects of Marketing, Sales and Strategic Planning initiatives for MGM Muthu Hotels in Portugal, Spain, UK, Cuba and France. Having had an ascending career graph within global luxury brands before this stint, Bharara was instrumental in consistently positioning this company on the world map as a collection of refined luxury hotels, during his short but fulfilling tenure.
Prior to this broadened role in Europe, Bharara was Director of Sales & Marketing of Le Meridian in Gurgaon where he led the team to deliver superior results while formulating and consistently evaluating marketing, brand planning and business-development strategies to augment revenue.
Before arriving to this role as head of Sales and Marketing, Bharara held several positions honing his Sales acumen in world class companies like The Leela, Oberoi Hotels and Resorts and Accor.
Having laid his foundation in the hotel industry within Operations in Front Office and Food & Beverage, he quickly rose up the ranks, deftly steering his career, speared by an unwavering focus and determination.
This fortified his base and lent a sound understanding of the functioning of each department of a hotel, while getting a pulse on the basic bare bones of running the hotel machinery. An expert in the hospitality industry who understands the drivers of demand in the market, he possesses a keen eye for detail in mapping Sales & Marketing trends. He has a strong ability to forecast major shifts in the marketplace, underpinned by a good commercial understanding of business and hospitality industry.
Bharara is a graduate from Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa and has an MBA in International Marketing Management and Consumer Behavior.
He is an avid soccer fan, watches luxury trends keenly and enjoys relaxing with his two daughters when not crunching numbers.
