Park Hyatt Hyderabad welcomes Shrikant Wakharkar as GM and Area Vice President

To lead the hotel’s management and processes and oversee strategic growth initiatives

Park Hyatt Hyderabad has announced the appointment of Shrikant Wakharkar as the new General Manager and Area Vice President. 

Wakharkar brings over 30 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, having previously served as the General Manager of Hyatt Regency Delhi and Area Vice President of Hyatt Hotels - North India from 2022. His extensive background includes leadership roles at renowned brands such as Taj, IHG, Starwood, and Marriott Hotels.

In his new role at Park Hyatt Hyderabad, Wakharkar will lead the iconic hotel’s management and processes, oversee strategic growth initiatives, and spearhead innovative programmes to strengthen the hotel's market position.

Wakharkar began his career as a Hotel Management Trainee in 1989 and progressed through roles such as Assistant Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager, and Food & Beverage Manager. He served as a General Manager at various hotels and in February 2022, he advanced to General Manager and Area Vice President for Hyatt Hotels, North India. A graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management, Bhubaneshwar, he has further honed his skills through professional development programs at Cornell University. Beyond his professional achievements, Wakharkar enjoys traveling, exploring different cuisines, and participating in marathons, which he believes are essential for maintaining focus and fitness.
