Pandemic has posed problems for people all over the world. However, our frontline workers are directly affected by it, which includes our Healthcare Workers and farmers. Novotel Hyderabad wanted to salute their spirit of bravery by felicitating the Heroes who did not let the nation starve or suffer. Novotel recently celebrated ‘Solidarity Week 2020.’
Expressing his views on the celebration, Rubin Cherian, General Manager, Novotel Hyderabad Airport said, “The Solidarity Week gives us the opportunity to give back in our best capacity. This year was tumultuous and stressful. Amidst all the chaos, knowing that several people, from Doctors to Farmers to Essential Workers, were looking out for our health and safety was what kept us going. We at Novotel Hyderabad Airport are truly glad that we could show our gratitude and respect towards them. We wish to keep commending the courage of our fighters and help keep lifting those who depend on small acts of kindness from humanity.”
The week began with farmers' felicitation under the ‘Anna Dhatha Sukhi Bhava’ concept as their contributions allowed the nation to have complete and nourishing food even in times of adversity.
During the week, the hotel hosted lunch for 25 COVID warriors who are doctors stationed at the COVID test centre at the Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad International Airport. The hotel also felicitated them with a traditional shawl and a memento. After the felicitation, a Novotel Speciality Lunch was organised as a token of gratitude for their hard work and constant support.
Furthermore, the hotel members visited SOS Village, a non-profit Orphanage to aid underprivileged children. The hotel donated 100 bedsheets. Besides, in association with Anuraag Human Services, the hotel distributed groceries stock of about a month and walkers to those who needed assistance.
