Jaipur to host IIFA25 event in March 2025

The event will enhance investment in Rajasthan's tourism sector, says Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari

In the presence of Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Diya Kumari and Secretary of Tourism, Art, Culture, and Archaeology Department, Ravi Jain, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on September 22, 2024, at Albert Hall. The agreement, signed between IIFA Vice President Suresh Iyer and Rajasthan Tourism Commissioner Vijay Pal Singh, marks the hosting of the IIFA25 Celebrations @Jaipur from March 7th to 9th, 2025.

Kumari highlighted that, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of promoting tourism, innovative initiatives in the tourism sector are being encouraged in the state. She expressed confidence that the IIFA Awards will boost tourism in Rajasthan with renowned Bollywood stars and film industry personalities being hosted in Jaipur, and Rajasthan will extend a warm welcome to these prominent figures. This event will elevate Rajasthan's rich culture and tourism on the global stage.

She also noted that on the silver jubilee of the IIFA Awards, Jaipur will host a historic celebration of 25 years of Indian cinema. Various segments of the IIFA Awards and other related activities will unfold over the three-day event. Kumari added that this event will greatly promote tourism in Rajasthan, drive investment in the tourism sector, and generate employment opportunities. She pointed out that all sectors connected to tourism will gain from this event.

On the occasion, Jain mentioned that the IIFA25 Celebrations will feature multiple programmes over the three days, including performances by leading figures and recognition of top achievers in Indian cinema. The event will also provide global branding and destination marketing opportunities for Rajasthan. After extensive discussions between the Rajasthan Tourism Department and IIFA management, Jaipur has been confirmed as the host city for the #IIFA25 celebrations in March 2025.

Iyer further explained that the goal is to organise the event and awards ceremony in Jaipur on a grand scale, with significant global outreach. The event is expected to create numerous opportunities for Rajasthan in tourism, media, and the entertainment industry.

Kumari has also received an invitation from Iyer to attend the IIFA Awards, which are scheduled to be held from September 27th to 29th, 2024 at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
