Vietnam Airlines has been recognised as the 6th most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024 by Cirium, a leading aviation analytics firm. The airline achieved an On-Time Performance (OTP) rate of 76.7 per cent, moving up three spots from 2023 and standing alongside renowned carriers such as Japan Airlines and Singapore Airlines.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) reported that Vietnam Airlines scored a national OTP rate of 82 per cent, surpassing the country’s average of 73.7 per cent. This achievement highlights the airline’s dedication to operational efficiency despite challenges such as global engine issues, supply chain disruptions, labour shortages, and adverse weather conditions.

Cirium’s ranking methodology focuses on On-Time Arrival Performance, with flights arriving at the gate within 15 minutes of their scheduled time. This analysis draws data from over 600 global sources, including airlines, airports, and civil aviation authorities.
