Holiday Inn Katra appoints Gaurav Sharma as new General Manager

With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Sharma brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the property

Holiday Inn Katra Vaishno Devi has announced the appointment of Gaurav Sharma as its new General Manager. With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Sharma brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the property, continuing his journey of growth and success with InterContinental Hotels Group.

Sharma joined IHG in 2019 and has since held key positions across several properties, including his most recent assignment as Task Force General Manager at Holiday Inn Amritsar. He has also worked at Holiday Inn Goa Candolim and Holiday Inn Agra, where he successfully managed hotel operations, improved guest satisfaction, and implemented revenue growth strategies. Prior to IHG, he has worked with brands such as Lemon Tree, The Leela, Radisson, Pride Hotels, Trident, and Renaissance.

Through IHG's Room to Grow programme, Sharma has leveraged the company's commitment to employee development, which has enabled him to take on increasing responsibilities and successfully manage multiple hotel operations. His leadership style focusses on operational excellence, guest experience, and team development. He is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, ensuring that each guest enjoys a personalised and memorable experience.

He has also been recognized for his outstanding leadership, receiving the Best Manager Award in 2022 from India Biz, presented by the Union Minister of State for Tourism. This prestigious award underscores his contributions to the industry and his dedication to delivering excellence.
