Cruising to New Heights

TIRUN Travel Marketing, the India representative of the cruise line Celebrity Cruises has announced India-specific sailings aboard its recently revitalised ship, Celebrity Constellation in December this year. The 6 and 8 night itineraries to/from Cochin and Mumbai have been specially designed keeping Indian guests in mind, giving an opportunity to them to embark on a luxury cruise from their own country and sail through various ports in the UAE and India.

The added incentive of the exclusive India sailings is the option of enjoying New Year and Christmas celebrations on board with exclusive firework shows in Dubai on New Year’s Eve. Further, the sailing includes double overnight stay in Dubai and the overnight stay options in Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.

Speaking about this special offer, Ratna Chadha, Chief Executive, TIRUN Travel Marketing said, “As the market for cruise tourism widens in India, sailings such as these are a natural progression to better capture this bourgeoning customer base. With the option of sailing to beautiful destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Goa and Dubai right from a port in their own country, Indian guests are more likely to embrace the idea of a cruise holiday this winter.”

The Indian sailings announced by Celebrity Cruises will be all-inclusive. Meals with a special Indian menu and standard beverages are part of the offering starting at USD 731 per guest.

On the other hand, Chadha also talked about hosting an experiential event on cruises. “Cruise events and holidays are the best option for customised events like weddings on-board especially for Indian guests who are looking for a safe and secured environment for 7 nights in a customised uber-luxury suite.” The team is equipped to customise an all-inclusive guest accommodation, meals, entertainment, wedding décor and menu for various events.

Having served 25 years of partnership with Royal Caribbean Cruises, the ships have redefined cruise travel in Asia with the arrival of Spectrum of the Seas in the region in May 2019. “The first of the Quantum Ultra Class fleet offers an incredible and evolved cruising experience with new feature such as the Ultimate Family Suite as the perfect addition for Indian families,” said Chadha.

Spectrum of the Seas will debut in April 2019 in Barcelona with segmented cruises on the Global Odyssey to Singapore before continuing to Shanghai, taking guests to 13 countries. It will be the largest cruise to sail in Asia and will touch base in Indian Cochin port.

With the increase in average Indian’s buying power, Chadha feels that her ships cater to the multi-generation traveller who can afford luxury travel.
