Salil Panigrahi, Managing Director of Atmosphere Core, is set to take the stage as an eminent speaker at the eighth edition of the BW Hotelier Indian Hospitality Awards and Summit (IHA) 2024. Panigrahi, a visionary hotelier, has left a remarkable footprint in the hospitality sector, particularly in the Maldives, where he has created a portfolio of luxury resorts that emphasize aesthetics and experiential tourism.
Beginning his career as a chartered accountant with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Panigrahi transitioned into resort development with a keen focus on creating distinctive, design-forward properties. His Maldives-based hospitality brand, Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, has launched several renowned resorts, including the OZEN Collection, VARU by Atmosphere, and OBLU Select. His work has not only shaped the Maldivian tourism industry but also strengthened ties between India and the Maldives. For his contributions, Panigrahi was honoured with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award in 2021 by the Government of India.
