Patanjali (Patu) G Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director of Lemon Tree Hotels, will be the keynote speaker at the Indian Hospitality Awards and Summit (IHA) 2024. A visionary leader in Indian hospitality, Keswani is a first-generation entrepreneur who identified the need for mid-market and economy hotels in India. After a successful career at the Tata Group, including as Senior Vice President of the Taj Group of Hotels, he founded Lemon Tree Hotels in 2002. Today, the company operates 95 hotels across 60 destinations in India.
Keswani’s commitment to inclusivity and social responsibility is reflected in Lemon Tree’s workforce, with 16 per cent comprising individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, including persons with disabilities. His leadership has earned the company multiple national awards, including for being a top employer of persons with disabilities.
A graduate of IIT Delhi and IIM Calcutta, Keswani also contributes to the hospitality sector through his involvement in the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, and other educational and professional bodies.
One of the most anticipated events of the year on the hospitality horizon, the eighth edition of IHA will be held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences on October 21-22 this year. The summit’s central theme is Revolutionising Indian Hospitality.
