One of the most anticipated events of the year on the hospitality horizon, the eighth edition of IHA will be held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences on October 21-22 this year. The summit’s central theme is Revolutionising Indian Hospitality.
As in the past, the 2024 edition promises to help the industry claim its rightful place on the global stage and chart a roadmap for the future together. With engaging keynote addresses and enlightening panel discussions, nearly 100 leading experts will explore the latest trends transforming the hospitality industry. Heading the jury at the event will be KB Kachru, Chairman of Radisson Hotel Group in South Asia and has played an instrumental role in building the Group’s business in South Asia since 1998. He continues to be on the governing board of the Group’s South Asia business entities including RHG’s Joint Venture companies.
Kachru remarked as the Chairman of Jury at IHA 2024, stating, “At IHA 2024, the focus on fairness, transparency, and recognizing true talent has been stronger than ever. This year’s awards celebrate those who are not only excelling in their roles but also helping to shape the future of our industry. The jury process has been thorough, and I’m proud to have worked alongside such an experienced and passionate group of professionals who have made sure that the recognition is well-deserved.”
He further added, “Our jury this year has been an inspiring mix of seasoned leaders and innovative entrepreneurs, all united in the goal of identifying the next wave of talent in hospitality. The discussions and debates we had were thoughtful, and I believe we’ve chosen individuals who truly represent the future of our industry.”
Kachru is also an active member of various Tourism and Hospitality Advisory Committees at the state and national level. He acts as the President of the Hotel Association of India and on the national board/executive council of the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) as well as a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – National Tourism Committee.
During his extensive career dedicated to hospitality, Kachru has been on the Board of Directors for the Tourism Corporation of various state governments and on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Hotel Management in New Delhi. He was also appointed to the Governing Board of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Trust, J&K, one of India's most prominent and visited Hindu religious destinations. Having served as an executive member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) India Chapter, he has also played a vital role in the American Society of Travel Agents of India, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) and India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB).
