The Leela Palace Bengaluru and Galle Face Hotel, in partnership with Dean With Us, have announced a significant culinary collaboration titled 'Heritage Crossroads'. This initiative marks the first joint effort between the two esteemed hotels, featuring a three-day showcase at each location that celebrates the culinary traditions of Sri Lanka and India.
The collaboration will culminate in a showcase at The Leela Palace Bengaluru from September 6 to 8, led by Chef Rukmal Samarasekera, presenting contemporary Sri Lankan cuisine at Le Cirque Signature. The event aims to highlight the distinct flavours and cultural practices of both cuisines, fostering a cultural exchange and enriching the dining experiences of guests. It serves as an opportunity to appreciate the deep-rooted connections between Sri Lanka and India through their culinary arts.
The Galle Face Hotel intends to introduce Sri Lankan culinary heritage to the Indian audience, having previously promoted Indian flavours in Sri Lanka.
Curated by Dean With Us, the event is shaped by the expertise of Akanksha Dean and Rupali Dean, both recognised for their contributions to food and travel. This collaboration emphasises the commitment of the hotel to enhance hospitality experiences while promoting cultural appreciation through food.
