The Claridges New Delhi to host Around the World in Eighty Plates

In 2024, to herald in the festive season, The Claridges New Delhi will host ”Around the World, in Eighty Plates.” on November 16, 2024, this culinary celebration that will offer an immersive gastronomic journey through diverse countries. Each dish will showcase the authentic flavours, techniques, and cultural significance of iconic cuisines from France, Spain, Italy, Japan, India, Mexico, Thailand, Greece, Russia, China, United Kingdom, United States, Middle East, Argentina, and Pakistan.

In 1872, Jules Verne wrote one of his most acclaimed novels titled ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’. The story was about a wealthy Englishmen who embarked upon an adventure of a lifetime wherein he and his companion circumvented the world and saw it, in eighty odd days. The book takes you on a journey into different parts of the world such as the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Japan, India, France, Singapore and Hong Kong.

This is the second edition of Around the world in eighty Plates, with Gourmet Planet teaming up with The Claridges to curate this fantastic gastronomical journey on both occasions.
