Sumeet Suri Appointed as the New GM at Kochi Marriott Hotel

Sumeet Suri is appointed as the new General Manager at the Kochi Marriott Hotel as of 10th January 2018. Prior to his current role, Suri was the Hotel Manager of the ITC Grand Chola Chennai where he spearheaded the operations of 600 rooms coupled with 10 restaurants and banqueting space of up to one lac sq. ft. 

After beginning his career in 1999 at the Welcomgroup Management Institute, Suri joined ITC Maratha, Mumbai where he fronted the opening of a fine dine restaurant and overlooked both banqueting and restaurant operations. He also worked as the Food & Beverage Manager at the ITC Kakatiya, Hyderabad and ITC Grand Central, Mumbai and in 2014 he was appointed as the General Manager of Welcomhotel Jodhpur.

Ever since the hotel opened its doors, Suri has demonstrated leadership and effective, efficient management in all aspects of the hotel’s operations. Suri is excited to join the Marriott family, Kochi being his first stint with the brand. “It feels great to be a part of the World’s largest hotel company and I look forward to a brilliant journey ahead. With his 17-year career in the hospitality industry and extensive knowledge and experience of handling multiple brands of ITC at various parts of the country, General Manager Suri is a great asset to Kochi Marriott Hotel. During his leisure time he loves watching movies, reading and spending time with his family. He is also an ardent fan of cricket. Mr. Suri has moved to Kochi along with his wife Roma and two daughters Sanaa and Kiana.
