SKAL International, the professional organisation of tourism leaders worldwide, announced the election of its new board members for India. This team will serve for the term 2024 – 2026, bringing experience and commitment to advancing the tourism industry and the aims of the SKAL fraternity in India.
The newly elected board members are Sanjeev Mehra who has been appointed as President, Venkat Reddy as Vice President 1, Krishna Gopalan as Vice President 2, and Rohit Hangal as Secretary. Monik Dharamshi takes on the role of Treasurer, while Shalini Khanna Charles has been named Director of Public Relations. Raj Gopalan Iyer will serve as Director of Young SKAL, with M Varadaraj Prabhu as Senior Auditor and Dr Sheri Kurian as Junior Auditor.
Mehra expressed his enthusiasm about the new team, saying, “I am honoured to lead such a distinguished group of professionals. This election marks a new chapter for SKAL International India. I am excited to work alongside my fellow board members to support our members, expand our network, and advocate for the interests of the tourism community.”
The AGM was held at GRT Grand Hotel. NSN Mohan Director of SKAL International administered the oath to the newly elected Board followed by the Skal Toast.
SKAL International India has 1200 members across 17 chapters and remains dedicated to its mission of uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. The organisation will continue to offer valuable networking opportunities, professional development, and initiatives that support the growth and sustainability of the tourism sector.
