RAMA continues to work closely with the government and other stakeholders on key initiatives such as the Make in India programme, developing a robust component ecosystem, enhancing energy efficiency, fostering the development of integrated cold chain infrastructure, addressing issues related to global warming refrigerants, and driving energy conservation and sustainable building practices. RAMA is also actively involved in e-waste recycling, ensuring high-quality standards, supporting export promotion, fostering the start-up ecosystem, and facilitating skill development and employment generation.

The Government of India’s launch of the PLI Scheme for air conditioners has transformed the manufacturing ecosystem in India. RAMA has been instrumental in advocating for such initiatives, ensuring their alignment with industry needs.

Reflecting on his appointment, Menon, President, RAMA & Executive Director & Head, Room AC Business, Voltas Limited, remarked, “I am deeply humbled to take on the responsibility of leading RAMA at such a critical juncture in the industry’s evolution.
