Being new in the vicinity, what are the new trends you are noticing in the hospitality market?

Being the first Radisson Hotel to open in the city, there is a lot of expectation and interest in the market for our property. The star hotels are now again concentrating on the dining outlets.

Brief us about your upcoming plans with the property

Our focus is to make our Banquet a go-to place for all events, we are already very popular with our corporate clientele and we do a lot of conferences and day event. Our target is now to ensure our banquet is the one-stop place for all social events, be it engagement, birthday, kitty parties, reception and wedding events.

How do you plan to maximize your room occupancy rate?

Being a hotel which is located near the corporate hub of the suburbs, i.e. Mindspace as well as the Goregaon (E) area which has a lot of corporate, we have entrenched ourselves and tied up with most of the large corporates, we also get a lot of traction with our online business and since we are close to the Bombay Exhibition Ground we get a lot of bookings 9 months in a year when there is exhibition. Our focus is to enhance our hotel in the digital space and with the Radisson name we are sure we are going to achieve an upswing in our Occupancy as well as Rates.

Brief us about your ARR, and targets for this financial year?

We do an Rs.6000/- + ARR for the year and we target to increase it by 12 percent – 15 percent in 2019.

What new do you bring to your f&b space?

We already have a very popular coffee shop called 180* Dining and a lounge bar which is popular with our corporate clientele, we have an open to sky restaurant called The Tipsy Terrace (T3) which is meant for the young crowd which would love to enjoy in a five-star environment.

How do plan to promote business tourism and MICE?

Our target for MICE business is during the months of June to Sept when we have less of corporate movement and no exhibition. This is the time when most of the companies also conduct their training programs as well as the induction schedule and there is large movement. Since we have 11 banquet halls varying in size from 500 sq feet to a 3000 sq feet, we are quite adept at handling big events
