Plum by Bent Chair Marks its Entry in Delhi

PLUM BY Bent Chair, India's only true retail restaurant brand after tasting its success in Mumbai, has now opened in Delhi. As you step in ‘The Walk’ area of Worldmark at Aerocity, you can see a giant purple winged bear peeping inside a glass window. Called the plummy bear, it commemorates artist Lawrence Argent, the creator of a giant blue bear installed at the Denver Convention Centre in Colorado. What comes next is a restaurant which is soothing and at the same time hypnotising to eyes. Plum by Bent Chair is a collaboration between leading hospitality and furniture brands- First Fiddle F&B Pvt. Ltd by Priyank Sukhija and Bent Chair by the father-daughter duo - Neeraj Jain and Natasha Jain, bringing the art of food and shopping under one roof.

The red, blue and green lights, the plum coloured walls with a twist of Victorian style seating, altogether set an amazing atmosphere to dine in. Plum has disrupted the restaurant industry by marrying retail with dining. Each and every product, from quirky cutlery, chairs, hanging lights to wall decors are displayed for sale. The décor of the restaurant has an indulging aspect, which forces you to gaze at the tiniest details. The roof resembles an outdoor dining space, with hanging greens, pots and the cat lights. Each wall at the restaurant is lively with finest of art pieces which blend with the ceiling. What surprises the most, is an array of furniture on display. From luxury sofas, comfy cushion seats to leather high chairs, each one will give you a different feel.

Divided into two sections, the bar and the dine-in space, the restaurant is not at all claustrophobic even though it is stuffed with fancy décor items. The food is much of pan-Asian, however, there are options of burgers and pizza if you do not wish to experiment. Chef Sagar and his team creates magic in every dish on offer, leaving a long lasting impression on your taste buds. The show stopper among them should definitely be the spicy barbequed chicken bao and truffle tofu sushi. Choose from an array of lip-smacking dishes such as Seafood wontons, Nutella Banana Sushi, Mongolian Sliced lamb, California Uramaki and more. The outlet even offers vegan and gluten-free dishes in the menu to meet the growing demands. Every gastronomical detail like plum-special sauces are a perfect treat for the senses.
