Peninsula Hospitality appoints Harpreet Singh Bhatti as Head Chef at Waikiki, Mumbai

Peninsula Hospitality has announced the appointment of Harpreet Singh Bhatti as the Head Chef of Waikiki, its contemporary dining experience and tiki bar in Mumbai. Chef Harpreet, with over a decade of culinary expertise, is set to elevate Waikiki’s offerings by infusing innovation and a deep passion for refined cuisine.

Having begun his culinary journey at the prestigious Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, Chef Harpreet trained under renowned Japanese chefs, including Masaki Kobayashi-san, at Wasabi by Chef Morimoto. His experience there significantly shaped his culinary philosophy, which blends Japanese and Hawaiian influences.

At Waikiki, Chef Harpreet will focus on creating unique dishes that embody the vibrant spirit of aloha, utilising both traditional and modern techniques, such as Robatoyaki, a specialised charcoal grilling method. His appointment marks a new chapter for Waikiki, promising a dining experience that is both unique and memorable, celebrating the fusion of cultures through innovative cuisine.
