Novotel ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai Sipcot welcomes new leadership

Novotel announced several key appointments and promotions within its management team, bringing fresh talent and experienced leaders to the forefront. Among the new appointees are Vineesh KURUP, General Manager; Vivek S, Director of Operations; and Nikhil Malhotra, Director of Sales and Marketing of both Novotel Ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai Sipcot, while Subin M is the Executive Chef of Novotel Chennai Sipcot. 

Vineesh Kurup, General Manager, Novotel and Ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai Sipcot, brings over 14 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Kurup's journey began with a commendable six-year tenure in the Indian Army. He joined Accor in 2009 as the Security Manager for the pre-opening phase of ibis Pune Viman Nagar. Due to his dedication and passion, he quickly advanced to the position of front office manager. In 2011, he assumed the role of General Manager and successfully launched Formule 1 Pune Hinjewadi, followed by Formule 1 Pune Pimpri in 2014. 

Kurup further solidified his reputation by taking on the pre-opening General Manager role for ibis Chennai Sipcot in 2015 and transitioning to ibis Chennai City Centre in early 2017. Since April 2018, he has been serving as the General manager for both ibis Chennai City Centre and ibis Chennai Sipcot.

Vivek S, Director of Operations, Novotel & Ibis Chennai OMR, has over 15 years of expertise in sales, marketing, and revenue management strategies. His association with Accor Hotels dates back to 2016, where he has held various positions in sales and marketing. Prior to his current role, he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Novotel ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai Sipcot, where he also took on the additional responsibility of managing operations at the Novotel Sipcot hotel on an interim basis. Currently, Vivek is deputed to the IIS Chennai City Centre to oversee operations.  

Nikhil Malhotra joins the team as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Novotel & Ibis Chennai OMR and Novotel Chennai Sipcot. He brings a wealth of experience in the field, having previously worked as the Director of Sales at ibis New Delhi Airport and ibis Jaipur Civil Lines. Nikhil has also had stints at prominent hotel chains, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation, The Zuri Hotels, Alila Hotels, The Leela, and prior engagements with Accor at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences and Ibis Kolkata Rajarhat.   

Subin M has been appointed as the Executive Chef at Novotel Chennai Sipcot. With an impressive career spanning over 15 years, Subin has honed his culinary skills working with multiple hotel chains, including EGH Planet, ITC Fortune, and Imperial Kitchen. His most recent assignment was with Ibis Kochi City Centre as the Executive Chef.
