THE WESTIN Mumbai Garden City announced the appointment of Chef Mohamed Danish as the Chef De Cuisine of Kangan, their signature Indian restaurant. His culinary forte is Indian and Awadhi cuisine, which will be an alluring and appetizing add on to Kangan’s exquisite menu.
Hailing from Lucknow, his culinary roots are deeply entrenched in Awadhi cuisine. This will bring an enhanced aura to Kangan along with his culinary experience and leadership skills. Along with Kangan’s signature classics such as Dal Kangan, Kakori Kebab and Nalli Nihari, Chef Danish will magnify the menu with his signature dishes like Kormey ki chaap, Tulsi wali pomfret, Murgh rezala kofta, Martaban ka lahori gosht, Papad sev ka paratha amongst many others.
Chef Danish began his culinary journey in 2007 at a coffee shop and restaurant in Chennai. Chef Danish’s exceptional expertise in delectable cooking, all facets of kitchen management and training skills has assembled a remarkable career for him in the hospitality industry for over a decade. In his course of work, he worked in several hotels in Mumbai, Jaipur and Saudi Arabia as a junior sous chef, sous chef and succeeded as a Head Chef in their Specialty Indian Restaurants. He has worked with names such as Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Jaipur, Taj Fort Aguada Resort and Spa Goa, Taj Lands’ End Mumbai, Taj Jai Mahal Palace Jaipur in the past.
Apart from his role in the kitchen, he has excellent team building and interpersonal skills, and is highly efficient in his work. He believes in persevering to provide impeccable service, in order to continue being recognized as one of the most meritorious and commendable chefs in the industry.
