KOHLER Adds Colours To India Design Week 2020

KOHLER announces its association with India’s luxury design week, India Design (ID) 2020. The brand displayed their full repertoire of coloured products in Matte Black, Henna, Truffle and Peacock at ID 2020.

The Open maze-like structure of the Kohler booth divided into four distinct colour zones showcased a monochromatic surreal display inspired from global bathrooms trends. While the Matte Black colour zone showcased Brutalism, Truffle showcased Serenity as a design trend in Bath spaces. The colour, Peacock from the palette was depicted using Blush Botanical as a trend and finally, Boudoir was depicted using Henna, the newest addition to the colour palette

The four colours by Kohler were also interpreted by 4 top designers in the pre-symposium area. Designer Shantanu Garg, Aneeth Arora of Pero, Ankon Mitra and Madhav Raman curated spaces inspired from the Colours by Kohler range using unique art forms. Beyond this, KOHLER organized interactive and engaging workshops by Shantanu Garg and Anavila Misra at their booth on 13th and 14th February for design aficionados and present Timothy Corrigan, a renowned Hollywood Interior Designer as a speaker in ID Symposium.

Speaking on the occasion, Salil Sadanandan, President, Kohler K&B India, Middle East, and Sub Saharan Africa said, “For a company that has believed in staying at the leading edge of design and technology for over 145 years building a close relationship with the design fraternity is very important. Associating with India Design 2020 as symposium partners provides us the platform to continue a dialogue with the people that inspire us most, architects, designers and creative leaders from India and around the world.”

“Our booth will showcase the move from the mundane colors like white and chrome to colours in bathrooms which appeals to the bold and expressive Kohler customer. Kohler’s India palette lies perfectly in sync with this idea, taking its inspiration from vibrant local hues which are international in their appeal. This year at India design we are also introducing an addition to the India Palette in Henna, a deep shade of maroon which celebrates the modern expression of India’s rich heritage,” he added.

India Design ID is the country's most definitive design and home decor week which provides the attendees with the opportunity to come and witness the largest congregation of the best in architecture, interiors and decor. It features a display of the finest in-home decoration, across categories like furniture, accessories, kitchens, furnishing, lighting and much more.
