IHCL celebrates 120 years of Taj with Cake Mixing Ceremony

The hotels in Bengaluru brought together guests, chefs, and patrons to mix a variety of festive ingredients

As part of the festive season, IHCL’s Taj brand celebrated its 120-year legacy with a Grand Cake Mixing Ceremony at its hotels in Bengaluru, including Taj West End, Taj MG Road, Taj Bangalore, and Taj Yeshwantpur.

The event, rooted in 17th-century European Christmas traditions, brought together guests, chefs, and patrons to mix a variety of festive ingredients, symbolising abundance. Participants donned festive attire and enjoyed a holiday-themed atmosphere.

An afternoon tea menu featured seasonal treats such as ginger biscuits, mulled wine, and hot chocolate, with chefs sharing insights into the tradition's history. The mixed batter created during the ceremony will be baked into cakes for Christmas celebrations at the Taj hotels.
