GRAND HYATT Kochi, Bolgatty announces the appointment of Girish Bhagat as the General Manager of the third Grand Hyatt-branded hotel in India. In his new role, Bhagat leads a team of more than 450 associates for the 264-key luxury resort and Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre, one of the largest convention spaces in South India and will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, to day-to-day staff management and guests.
Bhagat began his career in 1998 in New South Wales, Australia where he studied Hospitality Management and successively worked in Sydney and Melbourne. Bhagat has been a part of the Hyatt family for over a decade. He started his Hyatt journey with the pre-opening of Grand Hyatt Dubai back in 2003 followed by stints at Grand Hyatt Muscat and Hyatt Hyderabad Gachibowli.
Bhagat has worked in different countries and across cultures. In his earlier role as the General Manager at Hyatt Hyderabad Gachibowli, he successfully implemented changes pertaining to rebranding, product enhancement, brand compliance and employee training and development. His professional milestones include several successful brand launches and positioning in highly competitive markets while nurturing strong relations with stakeholders. He strongly believes that the key to success is investing in the right people.
With a penchant for innovation in hospitality, he raises the bar each time with his extensive knowledge and understanding of luxury brands and hospitality sector.
