FHRAI to conduct 54th Annual Convention in Goa

This year's theme, "Tourism @2047," will focus on sustainable growth and innovation within India's tourism sector, aiming to support the vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047

The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) is set to hold its 54th Annual Convention from October 16 to 18, 2024, at Taj Cidade de Goa, Horizon. The event will be inaugurated by the Minister for Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

This year's theme, "Tourism @2047," will focus on sustainable growth and innovation within India's tourism sector, aiming to support the vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. Approximately 800 delegates from India and around the world are expected to participate.

Pradeep Shetty, President of FHRAI, expressed the significance of this convention, stating, “The 54th FHRAI Annual Convention in Goa is a landmark event where industry leaders gather to discuss strategies and innovations that will shape the future of India’s hospitality and tourism sectors. The theme ‘Tourism @2047’ emphasises our long-term vision of making India a $3 trillion tourism powerhouse by 2047. This convention will set the stage for that journey, highlighting the importance of sustainable growth and collaboration.”

With over 800 delegates expected to attend, this convention promises to be a platform for meaningful discussions and partnerships.”, he further added.  

Key figures attending include Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Shripad Yeso Naik, Minister of State for Power, New & Renewable Energy, Government of India, Suman Billa, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism with Mugdha Sinha, Director General, Ministry of Tourism and Jonty Rhodes, South African Cricketer.

The convention will feature business sessions addressing growth and sustainability strategies, a hospitality exhibition, cultural performances, and the FHRAI Hospitality Excellence Awards, designed to honour emerging professionals in the field.
