Clarks Group of Hotels to Add 100 Rooms and Convention Facility

CLARKS GROUP of Hotels which owns five properties in Jaipur, Banaras, Agra, Lucknow and Khajuraho have plans to expand in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The group has already entered cities like Chittorgarh, Bhopal and Hyderabad. “The response is good, initiatives like these help the local economy to grow and generate employment opportunities for the local,” said Anant Kumar, Director, Clarks Group of Hotels in an exclusive interaction with BW Hotelier. The group is also planning to build 100 additional rooms and add another convention facility.

Clarks firmly believe in sustainable luxury, adopting eco-friendly ways and sustainable energy.  “We have eco-friendly practices in place, all our properties believe in 0-waste policy, we have rainwater harvesting system in place. The journey has been fulfilling to make Clarks one of the only carbon-neutral 5-star hotel in the city of Jaipur,” added Kumar.

Clarks Amer Jaipur despite all the competition, the team over the past three decades has continued to keep Clarks as one of the premium 5-star hotels in Rajasthan. The hotel has always promoted and supported Rajasthani culture and tourism. “Clarks has since its inception always positioned itself as an art décor hotel. In fact, even the music of Jaipur Lit Fest (Coke Studio) takes places in our hotel. We support art, music charities and different evolving cultures of the city. Clarks was also one of the founders of Jaipur Virasat Festival,” Kumar informed us.

In order to initiate hospitality education, Clarks have formed an institute by the name of Clarks Centre of Excellence, which provides one to three years hospitality diploma free of cost, with 100 percent guaranteed employment. “We train local people and hire them, we believe that the business can only grow when the community grows,” Kumar adds.

The group is taking many such initiatives to give back to the society. One such initiative is the adoption of Mahila ITI Alwar by Hotel Clarks Amer group. “We at Alwar Mahila ITI do extra efforts in providing an opportunity to females from rural areas and specifically from below poverty line families and economically weaker sections of the society,” says Kumar. Clarks support for various animal welfare causes. They have also reached out to tribal schools in Fagi region- as part of CSR initiative- they provide nutritious meals to all the impoverished school children.
